2026 SCHOLARSHIP Open
The North East Roofing Educational Foundation (NEREF) is offering an annual scholarship program supporting post-secondary education for NERCA members, their employees, and immediate family members.
Eligible applicants are high school seniors or graduates enrolling full time in an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school. This year, fourteen $3,000 scholarships will be awarded, paid directly to the school.
Applications with transcripts are due by May 26, 2026. Recipients are selected based on academics, leadership, involvement, work experience, and goals, not financial need, by the NEREF Board of Trustees, with notifications sent by June 30.
NEREF TRUSTEES ANNOUNCE 2025 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
On June 7, 2025, the NEREF Trustees met to approve the recipients of the annual NEREF scholarships. The trustees are pleased to announce the following awards:
NEREF SCHOLARSHIP HISTORY
In 1999, the North East Roofing Educational Foundation was formed as a not-for-profit corporation. NEREF provides financial assistance for employees, immediate family members of employees, or the immediate family of NERCA members who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college and vocational programs.
This spring, NEREF was able to provide fourteen scholarships to members of the roofing industry to assist in furthering their education. Through the generosity of several foundation members and contractors, all fourteen scholarships were completely funded. However, even with their generosity, the Foundation was forced to turn away more than forty deserving applicants. Our goal is to be able to provide additional scholarships to deserving individuals from the roofing industry in the years to come.
